Computers Are The Ultimate Statisticians

Modern day super-computers are today not only able to perform billions of calculations in minutes, but given the necessary inputs, can complete the calculations within a very short span of time, and just as easily calculate the probability of the outcome to an event. While such computers and calculating machines give the impression of being state-of-the-art machines, which they without doubt certainly are to a great extent, but in very simplistic and layman terms, we can also perhaps say that they are all excellent statisticians! Super computers are able to work through immensely huge and large pools of data and numbers, sift and sort through the numbers, perform and complete the required and necessary statistics homework in analyzing and processing through mounds and mountains of data, and ultimately sort through the piles, narrowing down the most likely probabilities from all possible options. In other words, we can thus, in so many ways, perhaps very justifiably claim that super computers and such allied machines are able to very efficiently and effectively source out the statistics homework answers!

Modern day super computers are used to simulate all kinds of hypothetical situations, where there can be billions of variables and where each individual variable can affect the net outcome of the entire process in any number of ways. A pertinent example perhaps could be the use of the machines in simulating thermo-nuclear explosions and perhaps. However, while this may be an extreme example, with the associated theories and concepts involved therein requiring a thorough and very detailed understanding of the entire process, there are certainly a million and one applications of super computers in resolving everyday issues, providing society with options to improve the quality of life for millions of individuals.

So, while all branches of science and technology go towards improving the lives of individuals, perhaps the role and contribution of the sub-branches of statistics in the modern world can never be underestimated in any respect. Modern day advancements in computer hardware, owe their existence to the first machine built decades ago, and the basic theory in developing the machine is derived from the study and theories of statistics.
